Mats Drougge

A jack of all trades I grew up in Gothenburg, the major port- and shipbuilding town of Sweden in the 60’s and 70’s. In 1976 skateboarding and The Ramones changed my life forever. I played guitar in some of Swedens seminal punk bands in the late 70’s. Got in to underground publishing in the 80’s and launched a quite successful alternative lifestyle magazine. In the 90’s I launched what was to become Scandinavian best selling young mens magazine. I'm a skilled copy and feature writer published in news weeklies, broadsheets and special interrest magazines.

  With a passion for design I’ve always been hands on. From graphic and product design over to technical construction of snowboards. I launched Stranda Snowboards in 2015. Stranda is my main occupation today and I spend the winters in the mountains around the world developing new shapes and of course filming and taking pictures of the awesome riders I get to hang out with.

  I took up landscape photography and combined it with my passion for classic sports cars and mountain roads some years ago. Pitching the idea of a coffee table book with best driving roads in Europe to publishers Lind & C.O. This resulted in the bestselling large format ”Äventyr med bilen” (Adventures with a sportscar). Holding the top 3 of travel books for the summer of 2017 in Sweden. Setting up this site was mainly to showcase my photography.
